So I’m not really a DJ, more a selector. A curator for sure. I know good music, I like listening to good music, I love sharing good music. Pretending to be a DJ on my laptop while streaming on Twitch is a good time for me. Apparently for others, as well, as they continue to tune in.

While I stream, I have a few graphics on screen with some sort of video in the background, along with a webcam of myself. I like cool graphics and visuals, along with cool music, so I try to show something intriguing or interesting or fitting for the music. About a week ago – and not for the first time – I showed the film The Spine Of Night in the background. Firstly, if you’ve not seen it you need to fix that mess posthaste, for really real. It’s incredible. It’s recent rotoscoped brilliance. Anyhow, the main character is a woman and her breasts are bare through most of the film. Not in a sexual manner at all, not even for a second. We are talking non-sexualized cartoon boobs.

I got a seven day ban from Twitch for “pornography” for showing this film. The details sent to me for my suspension reference the most recent stream where I played this film and obviously I’ve never shown porn on my stream. Absolutely ridiculous. I tried to appeal the suspension but it was denied. Bollocks. I’ve seen way worse shit on Twitch with my own two eyes in real-time – to speak nothing of VODs and clips and archives – where no suspension or ban was leveraged. Unbelievable.

I wouldn’t be quite as bothered by this as I am were it not for the fact that I was asked on two pretty important – to me, anyhow – Twitch raid trains and now cannot make those appearances from my main account. And I’m not trying to risk a perma-ban by trying to circumvent the suspension on a burner Twitch account. I’ve spent a lot of time on the platform building and connecting and sharing – I don’t wanna fuck that up. And, I mean, let’s be real, it’s 2026, banning someone for showing cartoon boobs in not even a single second of a sexualized fashion while there’s hot tub and other more risque things taking place all the time on the platform? Come on.

So it became a bit of a silly joke and I was given the idea to make this shirt. And I made it. Go buy it. Fuck censorship.
